labor day.... bonding

Above picture was taken last monday , Labor day... after dad's basketball match we all head down to the hotel/resort to have brunch and to take advantage of their pool facilities.. My bea just ate seafood chowder and of course for desert she went straight to the chocolate fondue... she adored the freee flowing chocolate..

After the meal we all headed to the pool to take a dip and cool of the scorching heat of the sun... When we were all about to take the plunge the lifeguard told us we cannot use the pool unless we pay $12 per person for adults and $6 for the kids... WHAT??? We insisted on him that part of the party package my husbands company availed was the use of its pool facilities.... Needless to sya we had to wait 20 minutes to get clearance to use the pool.. Just look at the pic above, my daughter wanting to dip in the pool but we had to wait =( after the glitch we were allowed to use the pool... YAY...

Above is a picture of my bea and my god daughter miah ( she is turnign 5 on april of next year), my bea is the same height as her and is much heavier than her... she is getting irritated with all the picture taking ....

after swimming, we got tanned and tired.... look at my bea's face.... the look of exhaustion and sleep deprived =)

It was a long drive to our house from the resort/hotel so my bea had no choice but to sleep in the car, poor thing probably tired from all that playing and swimming.. unfortunately, we got jinxed on the drive home... our rear tire blew up probably because of broken glass or nail... good thing my husband wasnt speeding and he just clamly and safely drive our car to the side of the road and called hsi office mates for help.... Luckily we have a donut to use as a spare.... the bad thing is, it also needed some air =(, my husband's office mate volunteered to go to the tire shop and put some air on the spare..... after 30 minutes we are on our way to buy a new tire for our car..... the one we have could not be repaired anymore since it has 2 big holes on it.... While this is all going on my bea who is so tired just slept thru all the actions =)..

Over all it was a fun day, we get to hang out with friends and relax a little before going back to a tiring week at the office... My hubby and daughter also had the chance to have a much needed father and daughter moment....
